“Pink roses, green by Clíodhna Bhreatnach revels in the act of making poetry in a broken world. Whether it’s while finding palimpsests in an archive, sharing secrets under a photocopier’s protective sound-wash, or watching Dusty Springfield unwittingly lip synced with a football crowd, Bhreatnach’s keen eye picks out the poetic juxtapositions of the mundane and elevates them to a place of strange and singular beauty. Frustrated, thought-provoking, formally ambitious and always witty, these poems herald a compelling new voice.” – Jessica Traynor.
